Capstone Partners' founder and chief executive, Gregory Bartko, has over 28 years experience practicing as an attorney, with special emphasis on corporate securities and regulatory law, both at the state and federal level. For several years, Mr. Bartko advised corporate clients seeking to tap the capital markets from the environment of national and international law firms. He is particularly experienced in advising clients on securities regulatory matters, structuring private and public offerings, preparing and filing offering documents and registration statements with state and federal securities regulators. Mr. Bartko prides himself in delivering hands-on corporate finance advice and services to business enterprises. He serves on a day-to-day basis as a principal of the firm and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 NASD licenses.
As chief executive officer of Capstone Partners, Mr. Bartko also practices corporate and securities law in Atlanta, Georgia as a sole practitioner and routinely represents corporations desiring to conduct public offerings and those that already are public companies trading their securities on one or more national securities exchanges. Prior to becoming an officer and principal in his own firm Mr. Bartko was a partner at Glass, McCullough, Sherrill & Harrold, in Atlanta, Georgia. From 1992 to 1996 Mr. Bartko was a partner at Graham & James' Raleigh, N.C. and Atlanta, Georgia. His primary responsibilities included all corporate, securities, mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture activities at the firm. From 1989 to 1992 Mr. Bartko was a partner with Reynolds, Bryant, Patterson & Covington, P.A., and Raleigh, NC., a Research Triangle-based law firm with emphasis on securities and commercial law practice. Responsibilities there included representation of public and privately -held emerging growth companies as well as large North Carolina-based bank holding companies and performing similar duties as with current firm.

Our firm's investment banking and corporate finance capabilities include the expertise of Glen Smith, Jr., our controller and a corporate analyst that consults with us selectively on public and private finance projects we undertake. Mr. Smith adds substantial investment banking contacts and experience to our client projects, and is a widely licensed FINRA registered representative and a principal. Our firm is able to evaluate client projects and quickly conduct due diligence associated with those projects primarily through the services of Mr. Smith, who has assisted us as a corporate analyst, financial consultant and investment banker for a number of years. Mr. Smith holds Series 7, 24, 28 and 63 NASD licenses.

Registered Principal - Michael Stegawski, Esq.

Mr. Stegawski is a registered principal with Capstone, where he oversees our firm’s electronic records compliance and will be supervising our investment advisory operations. Mr. Stegawski joined Capstone in 2006 as an analyst and has provided support for various investment banking engagements. In addition to his work with Capstone, Mr. Stegawski is an attorney providing consulting services to the Law Office of Gregory Bartko, LLC, through Convergent Advisory Services, P.A., and has been actively engaged in the firm’s multi-state securities litigation.
Mr. Stegawski joined our firm from the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, where he functioned as a legal research assistant for litigation counsel. He is admitted to practice law in the states of Florida and Georgia. He completed his Juris Doctorate degree at Georgia State University in 2007 and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Wake Forest University. He also holds Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.
